Crypto Africa: Ugandan Coffee Firm Seeks Blockchain to Track its Supply Chain

Crypto Africa is the name I choose for my post of Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency adoption across Africa.
On today's edition, I heard over to Uganda where her main coffee firm has employed blockchain technology to track its a supply chain.

Uganda's main coffee firm, Carico Café Connoisseur has introduce blockchain technology to track it supply chain and provide shared record data held on multiple computers and not just on a single computer like before.
This technology will be used to track the records of coffee from farms to collection points, warehouses, inspections and shipping for the case of exported coffee.
According to the firm, this traceability is necessary and important because consumers are increasingly concerned about the source, packaging and origin of the coffee they consume.
It should be noted here that this move is not the first of its kind as some other major firms such as Maersk and Walmart have also employed blockchain technology to track their supply chains.
