WHAT IS A CRYPTOCURRENCY WALLET?

Cryptocurrency Wallet is a software or program which stores our public and private keys and allows us to send and receive cryptocurrencies by interacting with several blockchain networks. Means, if we want to get any cryptocurrency, we first need a cryptocurrency wallet to hold it.

To best understand how cryptocurrency wallet works, we can take an example of Email. We share our email address to everyone so that they can send us messages or files but we do not share our password of email account to anyone. Likewise, we share our public address of Cryptocurrency Wallet to everyone so that they can send cryptocurrencies to that particular address. But, we don’t share our private key to anyone because it is a way to access funds inside a wallet and we don’t want any person to access our funds. Private key is similar to password of our email account which we keep in secrecy and do not share with any person.
