BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY COULD TRANSFORM UGANDA'S POLITICS

Hello @everyone, I think no body is doing a good enough job thinking about how cryptocurrency technology can really transform politics for the better. The actual kind of mechanism or framework of delivering politics to the people can literally be improved enormously and I have no doubt about it. Literally, even if it takes probably 20 years I think by that time everyone will be voting online either on their computers, smart phones or whatever device they will be using by that time. Everything will be verified so as to prevent fraud and identification. I think this will all be verified using blockchain technology.

There’s going to be a lot of simple and obvious ways in which we can improve things and it’s always fan to think about the extremes to which can take this as well and what I’m personally hoping for as a bit of socialist is that it would allow us to pass more socialist policies revolving around kind of re-distribution of wealth. This is possible in a way that it reduces peoples’ genuine valid fears around government and the increasing role that the government will play in peoples’ lives because there’s is a kind of universal basis income in place which is not basically involving any kind of centralized government planning like the present system.

Well, it would be absolutely amazing if we had some kind of very confiscated smart contract system in place that did all this in a decentralized manner where all of the money that would be collected and re-distributed for the universal basis income could be done without any kind of human intervention at all. The way this could be played out is imagine if we had some kind of artificial intelligent robot work force who literally does everything for the people which leaves humans redundant at this point and we could use the money that they earn doing whatever kind of work that they are doing .

Imagine if we could decide as a society that we’re going to put something probably 50% or even 90% tax on all revenue that those robots generate and we can kind of have a smart contract system where it automatically takes out their earnings so as soon as they earn something, 50% or 90% of it is extracted and put into a big national generalized fund which is just re-distributed to the people at a very equal and fair rate. If the system is to run by itself in a decentralized way that no government can kind of interfere with then it doesn’t matter if the government were to decide to take over people’s lives in everything like imagine in some 1900 scenario. Well, this wouldn’t matter because they couldn’t actually interfere with that small contract because it will just continue running by itself and that’s why I’m hoping that blockchain technology will be able to transform politics not only in Uganda but the whole world at large.
