What really is personal Data! Opiria

We keep talking about data, how it's not being effectively used or rewarded. Of recent, there have been some regulations on how data is accessed and managed. All these activities which have been put in place are all geared towards the protection of data. Data is the whole identity and existence of a person. Today I want to cover the aspect of describing what really is DATA.

When we hear data, the first thing that comes to our mind is our personal identity which includes: Age, country, locality, utility bill, name, school history and so on. This information's today is required basically for everything we do. Before one can have access to any platform be it social media or other similar platforms, one must provide one or more basic personal data. Our data defines us and its through it we can be located. Without our data, we're nothing.

But because we have no control as to how much of our data we let go simply to have access to platforms which we need for the execution of our tasks or keeping up to date with happenings around us, our personal data has been susceptible to being traded by those in possession of it. These companies we supply this information to most times sell it to other companies who have the need for data to be able to carry out their company or business need.

But this is changing. With Opiria, we are given the opportunity to detect how our personal data's can be used and who can as well use it.
