new augmented reality platform powered with blockchain technologies

Pokémon go was a mobile game that became popular because of its augmented reality gaming. Many establishments use it as their benefit by promoting it location as pit stop so many players will gather in their place. It shows one advantage of augmented reality to advertise in a more exciting way, a way for more user interaction making it more memorable to the user. Ikea already uses augmented reality to advertise appliances just by using the mobile application users can see the design compatibility of chairs, tables or even bed to the color and shape of the room thanks to augmented reality. Social media such a Snapchat already using augmented reality to enhance user interaction and advertisement to increase advertiser’s engagement.

Knowing the benefit of augmented reality I found a project that will focus on developing augmented reality introducing ARROUND “a decentralized augmented reality platform” powered with blockchain technologies. Some of the partners of ARROUND include Unilever a very popular multinational consumer goods brand.
Four basic feature of ARROUND
AR SOCIAL – user can share augmented reality photos, for example an augmented lion on a park and acting you’re scared of it or fish in a cruise ship to make it looks like a sunken ship. This will be available in Playstore and Appstore. This integrated or shared with other social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, and others.
AR ADNET – this is like a Pokémon go application like geotagging. Because of this feature, this will increase foot traffic, visibility, and engagement of establishment or product. ARROUND also can be a source of information when you want to search about a particular brand or product you’re interested in just use the camera to the logo it will show information about it. It can also show some promotion on the product like discounts.
AR MAP- directly connected to the social media and advertising instead of adding augmented reality in the picture, using a smartphone camera the entire map will be the augmented reality and data points can be created.
AR STORE- the store in the platform where services and products are offered. Prices are in FIAT but will be paid in tokens. API can be set for third-party applications. Auctions, crowdfunding is possible in AR store. Sellers must have
Use of blockchain in the platform.
ARR tokens will be used for the payment in the platform, using smart contracts for instantaneous transactions. Intellectual property rights will be recorded in the blockchain making it secured and cannot be forged.
