Calm, before the Storm?

Cryptocurrency tokens' FIAT value have remained at a somewhat constant level of plunging for a few months now, without much movement in the last month, ever since Bitcoin could be legally shorted (futures market) which leads to the general sentiment of a big swing in prices, either up or down in the near term.

"It's the banksters driving bitcoin down with the futures market and manufactured news to drive the prices down to increase profits" some say, while others await for government organisations to decide on their aproach to different forms of cryptocurrency tokens, and even non-financial blockchain technologies.

I like to think of the general value of a technology/system on it's use and potential to cause change in it's sector, so here are a few technologies, which being more or less related to distributed ledger use (blockchain), have endured regulations and have great potential to become adopted and change our World for the better:

A trusted and accredited bullion vault and trading system has resorted to blockchain technology to make precious metals (gold and silver at the time of writing) easily trade-able and liquid, the gold and silver coins are stored on a trusted and secure vault, with real-time monitoring accessible to it's holders, and physical delivery in increments of 1 Oz coins for gold. Naturally, the tokens representing the coins, which can be traded in small increments (the name plays a part here) are priced over the spot price of the metal they are representing, so this is not the best way to buy gold and silver for storage, this a great option as a safe haven for FIAT currency price swings and inflation, and a great way to transfer precious metals to anywhere in the World, just imagine how much would cost to send a tonne of gold across the Atlantic, much more than sending Quint, for sure.
