Money is a very necessary bargaining tool in our current day. Value is placed to every penny earned by people, and as the saying goes “money is the hardest thing to take from a person”.

Life comprises of people from various places, with a varying level of advantage. Some are privileged to be in a much better position, whilst some others are incapacitated one way or the other, and need any help they can get.

Over time, foundations and charity organizations have been instituted, to aid children, people and even country(s) in need. It's not just only part of our social responsibility, but it's very humane to provide help that’s within our capacity to those in need.

Corporations, which are viewed by the law as entities, are tasked with very many duties (social responsibility) to the public. These responsibilities are not just for corporations, but we as humans have a duty to our fellow humans, giving aid to those that are within our capability to help. If giving was not abused, but respected and done with ease, the world would have been a way better place.

It's sickening most times to hear of the abuse of funds raised by some foundations. There's lack of transparency, accountability and medium to supervise the funds raised, to see if they're being used for their original purpose or misused.

Contributions made and spending needs to be tracked. Distrusts from donors, makes fund raising a tedious job most of the time and this can be attributed to the lack of accountability and transparency from the fund raising systems.

Nobody wants to spend money that it's usage cannot be accounted for, therefore the distrust amongst donors is justifiable to an extent. In other to change this perceptions, fundraisers need to employ a transparent and accountable system, as this will foster trust and consequently raise more money.

This trust is currently lacking in our present nonprofits systems, both among the donors and the organizations, hence limiting the help rendered and consequently the change inspired by these institutions.
