EVENTUM: A PLATFORM THAT INCENTIVIZES AND CONNECTS REAL DATA PROVIDERS TO DEVELOPERS VIA BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

As the internet is growing so also its users. With the internet playing a more important role in how we receive information, fake ones will always lead to a chain reaction.

We see more fake news and information on the web which have been shared over and over, even edited again and again and keeps circulating. Like me, most people take viral social media news so seriously. I can imagine the impact.

Fake information on the web can be fake news, fake ads, fake reviews, fake listings,fake websites,phantom bids, fake bot audience, fake URLs, fake billing and invoices and more.

Modern companies ( small and large) and general users depend on these information/data which comes through API(external data feed) for personal or business use.

The fact is, while there are more of fake data on the internet compared to real data (more of fake news) ,the demand for cheap and reliable real data feed is on the high but in the hands of a few centralized people who have made these data more expensive to purchase and a developer is not guaranteed its originality or reality. These have created a multi-billion dollar gap where a few are in control of these data that can easily be gotten from a larger crowd much cheaper.

In sourcing for a decentralized real and reliable data at a cheaper rate for developers birthed EVENTUM. This project is great, making life easy for developers as they are guaranteed real data of any kind readily available at much affordable and faster process. This project is already overhyped and got large interest.

WHAT IS EVENTUM?
Eventum is a decentralized platform which sources truth of a real-time data from the crowd (reporters) and automatically turned it into a real-time API for developers' use via blockchain technology. Reporters are global and can be anyone as they monetize what they see and experience while developers get these data at a cheaper rate.
Real data could range from a live stream of a football match, an incident which occurred in a shopping mall, video of a fashion show, a natural climatic change etc. Hence it’s real, Eventum platform will connect reporters of same real data to interested user/developer as it uses the wisdom of crowd to filter fake news.

HOW IT WORKS
Eventum system connects data providers and developers. Data providers (reporters) use their mobile/desktop app to send a report of their valuable data to the validation nodes in the Eventum system. The validation nodes are programmed to reach a consensus ( allowing multiple data providers of same valuable data) and it sends this data to an interested developer in form of a real-time API.
The developer pays some incentives in a smart contract which is splitted and given to the data providers that make up the consensus. Reward(incentives) is paid according to the speed of response. In Eventum platform, real-time nature is incentivized.
