ICOs, similar to crowdfunding give retail investors the same opportunity as rich who invest in VCs. ICOs do make investments fair as far as ability to invest is concerned, however, they lack any due diligence and investor protection.
Transportation sector is a good sector to invest in as far as development of new dencentralized marketplace is concerned. I have my doubts over whether a centralized or decentralized marketplace will be better.
My point wasn't that projects like DAV that host an ICO with low minimums are a safe means to invest. So yes, due diligence is always important, but I think projects like these are changing the very standards of investment opportunities for the masses.
Yeah, sorry, i did agree to them providing an opportunity for retail investors to be able to invest. This market for closed for the average joe. Now it isn't. So that is a great thing.
But what i was trying to say was that rich investors also get investor protection as part of investment process and VCs can afford duedil because they are loaded. Retail investors should also not be exposed to such risks in order to have a total level playing field. It should be mandatory for start ups doing ICOs to provide an investor document post fund raise, once they can afford due dil, a small cost to pay.
