Will Game bring Blockchain to its peak?

Blockchain games have been an central issue since blockchain technology came to our sight. Many companies kept on developing various kinds of blockchain games. As far as I know, there are blockchain role play games, blockchain card games and game platform.

As is known to all, when the Internet was developing, the Internet game had been well accepted and made the Internet much more popular than ever before. People all played Internet games and payed in them. Both money and traffic had raised to a new height. In this way, many other areas of Internet had been realized by people and the Internet had developed. Here comes the same question, will games change the Blockchain in the same way?

Let us see what contributions does the game make to Internet and blockchain?

For the Internet, games have change the game mode. People can fight against each other instead of against computer bots. Actually it makes a quantitative change.

For the blockchain, as far as I know, it mainly changes in these three aspects:

1. When you play in the game, you can get the token, the total number of token is limited and you can buy items with the token.
2. You get these token, you can use them in game A, you also can use these token in game B which is developed by the same company.
3. In gambling games, the proceed of putting cards uses the blockchain technology. It guarantee the fair of the game.

Those are differences I can see which blockchain games make. Actually I do not see any changes on game mode, there is no quantitative change but qualitative change. People feel no big difference between traditional games and blockchain games. But they do feel big difference between Internet games and console games. So I am wondering if blockchain games can be the next central issue.

Maybe blockchain games can attract enough traffic, and these traffic can be sold to the advertisers at a good price, in this way will blockchain games make its own contributions.

I do not think blockchain games will be the next central issue. Maybe we should pay more attention on other areas of blockchain. We should not follow the succeed cases completely. For everything has its own practical conditions. We need critical thinking.
