My first attempt to send 0.0 ETH failed. Blame the author of this article. LOL
The Jaxx screenshot in his article shows 0.0 ETH amounts (wallet balance and 'send to') and the recipient address is not the Bithereum Redemption Contract Address mentioned in the article. I was confused. Huh! I could not send 0.0 amount, the send button won't turn green if I don't input at least 0.00000001.
I was and am also confused with the contract address written in their articles on medium. Gosh! See my comparison below, I just used the second one with capital letters:

(1) Create Bithereum Wallet
Read this: https://steemit.com/bithereum/@pinay/have-you-joined-the-bithereum-airdrop-and-bounty-program
Copy hexed public key and Paste it in the 'Custom Data' when sending 0.0 ETH to Bithereum Redemption Contract Address (see step-2).
(2) Send 0.00000001 ETH to Bithereum Redemption Contract Address:
