The Oracle-D Team Teaches About Blockchain in Aceh, What is the Community Reaction? Here's the review! [Billingual]

The University of Malikussaleh Faculty of Economics and Business (UNIMAL) has held a National Seminar with the theme "Blockchain for Technology Finance" which took place at the UNIMAL campus Cut Meutia Hall on Saturday, October 20, 2018. This seminar was filled by two speakers from abroad namely , Dylan Leightoon (@anarcotech) who is the Oracle-D CTO and Matt Starkey, Ceng, ImechE (@starkez) who are Oracle-D CEOs. The event was hosted by @Mariska.Lubis, an Oracle-D team from Indonesia.

The opening of this event began with readers of the holy verse of the Koran and singing the song Indonesia Raya. Then there was also the greeting from the head of the organizing committee, the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice Chancellor 1. The more than 2 hour seminar was attended by hundreds of students, academic community, local government, Steemit Indonesia Community, Dirham Coin community, the local Bank and the general public . All participants seemed so enthusiastic about listening to the material described by the two speakers.

"This is a blockchain seminar that was first held on this campus, hopefully with the arrival of the Oracle-D team will provide a lot of knowledge that is useful for us," said the committee chairman in his speech. The campus also hopes that the collaboration that has been built with Oracle-D can be sustainable.

Material Presented at Seminar Events

In the opening sentence @anarcotech and @starkez said they were happy to be present in Indonesia to share knowledge. In general, the material presented is a basic depiction of the work methods and concepts that exist on the Blockchain. I have summarized the material presented by the speaker.

"Twenty years ago, when I was a kid at that time there was no cellphone. However, now we have entered into a very sophisticated era with technological advancements and various other developments in the field of science. One technology that is so close to us is mobile phones. Now mobile phones are one of the most important parts of our lives. Even that thing is more powerful than a rocket that flies into the clouds. In this development era we have to know everything about blockchain. Blockchain is a large and transparent data storage place. Blockchain can't lie and lie." Said @anarcotech.

"One of the biggest problems that often occurs in some countries and even almost all countries is corruption. Corruption has caused huge losses to the country and its people. All who have great and strong power are corruptors. With current technological developments, the problem can be reduced. By implementing Blockchain, the problem of corruption will decrease. Because blockchain works with systems that are very thorough, transparent and scattered. All data will be stored in each scattered block. Everything that has been saved cannot be changed and will always be there. Every activity and whatever happens will always be registered, that's blockchain." Said @starkez.

At the seminar they provided examples such as existing networks on the Steemit Platform. STEEM is one of the best blockchain at this time. On the sidelines of the seminar @anarcotech also helped one of the participants to enter the STEEM blockchain. One participant who has been successfully pushed into the Platform is @lilbek98. The participants were also asked to provide vote support for STEEM at Netcoins Contest http://contest.gonetcoins.com/.

"I have been waiting for their arrival here for a long time, some time ago I kept looking for information about this seminar. I am very grateful because they have been willing to give this knowledge. This is my first experience listening directly to knowledge about Blockchain. Honestly, I'm very happy to be present today." Said @adilvakhri.

"This is a very useful science, I really feel proud to be present in this room. I think after listening to this, we must move to share this with others. I think, it's time for Indonesia to enter the Blockchain world. I am very proud to take pictures with them. Thank you very much Oracle-D." @Pojan said.

"I am very happy to meet with the Oracle-D CEO and CTO. I have been waiting for their arrival in Indonesia. So I have used this opportunity appropriately to see them. It is true, I also agree that in Indonesia it should implement Blockchain in the government. I am sure that people will get used to this slowly." @Teukumuhas said.

That was their expression after participating in this activity. All participants were also happy to get knowledge about the Blockchain and meet directly with the founder of Oracle-D.

I attended this event with @arie.steem, @bangmimi, @pojan, @teukumuhas, @adilvakhri, @wahyuraharadiann and @sevenfingers team. They are a salute team, we exchanged experiences and anything about STEEM.

Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL) telah mengadakan acara Seminar Nasional dengan tema “Blockchain Untuk Finansial Teknologi” yang bertempat di Aula Hall Cut Meutia kampus UNIMAL pada hari Sabtu, 20 Oktober 2018. Seminar ini di isi oleh dua pemateri dari luar negeri yaitu, Dylan Leightoon (@anarcotech) yang merupakan CTO Oracle-D dan Matt Starkey, Ceng, ImechE (@starkez) yang merupakan CEO Oracle-D. Acara ini dipandu oleh @Mariska.Lubis yang merupakan tim Oracle-D dari Indonesia.

Pembukaan acara ini dimulai dengan pembaca ayat suci Alquran dan menyanyiakan lagu Indonesia Raya. Kemudian ada juga sambutan dari ketua panitia pelaksana, Dekan Fakultas dan Pembantu Rektor 1. Seminar yang berlangsung selama 2 jam lebih diikuti di ikuti oleh ratusan mahasiswa, civitas akademik, pemerintah setempat, Komunitas Steemit Indonesia, komunitas Dirham Koin, pihak Bank setempat dan masyarakat umum. Seluruh peserta terlihat begitu antusias menyimak materi yang di paparkan oleh kedua nara sumber.

“Ini merupakan seminar blockchain yang pertama kali di laksanakan di kampus ini, semoga dengan kedatangan tim Oracle-D akan memberikan banyak ilmu yang bermanfaat bagi kita” ungkap ketua panitia dalam sambutannya. Pihak kampus juga berharap agar kerja sama yang telah dibangun dengan Oracle-D bisa berkelanjutan.

Materi Yang Disampaikan Pada Acara Seminar

Dalam kalimat pembukanya @anarcotech dan @starkez mengatakan senang bisa hadir di Indonesia untuk berbagi ilmu. Secara umum materi yang disampaikan merupakan penggambaran dasar dari cara kerja dan konsep yang ada pada Blockchain. Saya telah merangkum materi yang disampaikan oleh pemateri.

”Dua puluh tahun lalu, ketika saya masih kecil pada waktu itu tidak ada hand phone. Namun, sekarang kita telah masuk pada era zaman yang sangat canggih dengan kemajuan teknologi dan berbagai perkembangan lainnya dalam bidang sains. Saalah satu teknologi yang begitu dekat dengan kita adalah hand phone. Kini hand phone menajdi salah satu bagian yang terpenting dari kehidupan kita. Bahkan benda itu lebih hebat dibangdingkan dengan roket yang terbang ke awan. Di era perkembangan ini kita harus mengenal segala hal tentang blockchain. Blockchain merupakan tempat penyimpanan data yang cukup besar dan transparan. Blockchain tidak bisa berbohong dan berdusta.” Ungkap @anarcotech.

”Salah satu masalah terbesar yang sering terjadi di beberapa negara dan bahkan hampir seluruh negara adalah korupsi. Korupsi telah membuat kerugian besar bagi negara dan masyarakatnya. Semua yang memiliki kekuatan besar dan kuat adalah pelaku korupsi. Dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, maka masalah tersebut bisa dikurangi. Dengan menerapkan Blockchain, maka masalah korupsi akan berkurang. Karena blockchain bekerja dengan sistem yang sangat teliti, transparan dan tersebar. Seluruh data akan disimpan di dalam tiap-tiap block yang tersebar. Semua yang telah disimpan tidak bisa dirubah dan akan selalu ada. Setiap aktivitas dan apapun yang terjadi akan selalu terdaftar, itulah blockchain.” Ungkap @starkez.

Pada seminar tersebut mereka memberikan contoh seperti jaringan ayang ada pada Platform Steemit. STEEM adalah sebagai salah satu blockchain yang sangat baik saat ini. Disela-sela seminar @anarcotech juga membantu salah satu peserta untuk dapat masuk kedalam STEEM blockchain. Salah satu peserta yang telah berhasil didorong masuk ke Platform adalah @lilbek98. ”Saya telah lama menunggu kedatangan mereka ke sini, beberapa waktu yang lalu saya terus saja mencari informasi tentang seminar ini. Saya sangat berterima kasih karena mereka telah bersedia memberikan ilmu ini. Ini adalah pengalaman pertama saya mendengarkan langsung pengetahuan tentang Blockchain. Jujur, aku sangat senang bisa hadir hari ini.” Kata @adilvakhri.

”Ini Ilmu yang sangat berguna, saya benar-benar merasa bangga bisa hadir di ruangan ini. Saya pikir setelah medengarkan ini, kita harus bergerak untuk mengabarkan tentang ini kepada orang lain. Saya pikir, sudah saatnya Indonesia harus masuk ke dalam dunia Blockchain. Aku sangat bangga bisa berfoto bersama mereka. Terima kasih banyak Oracle-D.” Kata @pojan.

”Saya sangat senang bisa bertemu lagsung dengan CEO dan CTO Oracle-D. Saya telah menanti kedatangan mereka ke Indonesia. Jadi saya telah menggunakan kesempatan ini dengan tepat untuk melihat mereka. Memang benar, saya juag setuju kalau di Indonesia sudah seharusnya menerapkan Blockchain di dalam pemerintahan. Saya yakin lamban laun orang-orang akan terbiasa untuk hal ini.” Kata @teukumuhas.

Begitulah ungkapan mereka setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini. Seluruh peserta juga merasa senang bisa mendapatkan ilmu tentang Blockchain dan bertemu langsung dengan pendiri Oracle-D.
