Many cryptocurrency enthusiast or researchers come across post regarding the importance of scalability in the blockchain industry, and genuinely ponder what a scalable blockchain is all about.
Scalability is one of the most crucial aspects and issues the blockchain industry is faced with, and it has been the major focus of different blockchain Platform, which has attempted to curb this setback by improving their operating system, one way or another, since the inception of Bitcoin.

Scalability or scalable blockchain has often been regarded as another name for a blockchain that can achieve a high TPS (transaction per second).

A system is said to possess setbacks when it has poor scalability, by being unable to easily allocate resources (e.g, computing power, servers, or bandwidth), and requires extra efforts that affects it's ability to cope wity increased workload.
Scalability also has to do with a blockchains ability to provide a rich experience, for its users, and its decentralized applications, irrespective of how many users or dapps engaged in it's platform, in other to achieve mass adoption.
ISSUE WITH GENERAL SCALABILITY OF BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORMS
Presently, there exist various Blockchains, that could be relatively referred to as 'scalable', yet their operating procedures and systems begs to differ with this consensus. This is due to it's ability of being unable to increasingly accommodate fluid, increasing amounts of transactions.
Hindrance in achieving absolute and efficient scalability both in transactions, user experience, and decentralized applications systems, is a pressing issue for the blockchain industry, as scalability is a key consideration, if a technology seeks to achieve mainstream adoption of it's technology.
