Belgium Vs England, Southgate: England Must imit Germany

Hello all sport lovers, England coach Gareth Southgate has stated that England must imitate Germany's first third in the 2006 World Cup before reaching the trophy at the 2014 World Cup. England will play the Belgian counterpart in the third race on Saturday .

Southgate stated that Germany showed much improvement after 2006 before finally succeeding in Brazil. He also assessed the position of Three Lions squad is currently the same as the position of Germany at that time.

"I remember Germany in 2006 and it looks like we are in the same place, they are back to building relationships with supporters and showing signs of progress and they are progressing and moving forward to the highest round," he said as quoted by Sky Sports page.

"It took eight years for Germany to win the title, but it must be our ambition," he continued.
Germany did make a surprise by winning third place at the 2006 World Cup held in their own country. In fact, after becoming runner-up to the 2002 World Cup, Panzer squad had experienced a crisis after being eliminated in the Euro 2004 qualifying phase.

The German revival in 2006 continued in the next eight years. In all major tournaments, World Cups and European Cups, they always advance to the semifinals before finally reaching the title in Brazil.

Britain itself has a strong enough capital for it. Their squad is now filled by many young players such as striker Harry Kane, midfielder Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard to 19-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold defender.
