A Baby’s Sleep Schedule is a Peculiar Thing

Being a new father is a magical thing. Being a new mother is a completely different thing (assuming you and yours go the breastfeeding route).

This little man has a crazy connection with his momma. He wants to be held and snuggled by her all the time. Daddy is appreciated to a certain extent, but it always seems like Ingrid can calm this guy down way better than me.

Part of that goes back to the sleep schedule. He wakes up at least 2-3 times throughout the night to feed. This is a sacred bond that a baby gets to share with the mom and not the dad. He can be in the background but when it comes to the baby’s food, the mother is the star of the show.

Well this little guy sometimes likes to stay awake all day too! They say that newborns are only supposed to be awake for 30 minutes at a time. Anjel likes to stay up and break all the rules. Then he gets himself so tired that he gets grumpy and fights the urge to fall asleep. He’s such a funny little guy and it will be so nice to finally see him get into a routine (: Right now he’s just hitting his first growth spurt and learning how to crap himself properly. ❤️
