You have to suffer to be happy

in #blog8 years ago

This sentence may seem crazy and yet it's a personal revelation that has hit me lately.

The first time I noticed it was at the beginning of the year. We had spent an eve away from home and very average, the night that followed had been short and painful, the awakening painful and the endless return.

And yet, all this "suffering" has allowed us to be happy on New Year's Day. We had a hot shower, a delicious breakfast and we screwed up in bed with our babies. We just spent the day watching cartoons and dozing and it was PERFECT.

And when you think about it, it's the same for everything!

The food after being terribly hungry, reuniting with family after a long day at work, the shower after the sport, the money after working hard, a bath after a cold day, the cool wind after a hot day, the kilo in less after a week broccoli, happiness after the pain of a break, your tattoo after the suffering of the session, rest after a sleepless night ...

Humans are happy only when they solve problems and the ideal is that they choose their problems. That's all about Mark Manson's book The Subtle Art of Not Giving Fuck that changed my view of life and its "suffering" of everyday life.

The more we live an embarrassing situation, the more the comfort behind is good. Since I have noticed all this, I am very afraid to indulge in ease.

ying and yang!

I would disagree,

it is like saying
"there is sunshine after rain" which is obvious.
Suffering and happiness don`t have direct connection.
