Had a fantastic time with @therealpaul who is as beautiful a soul as I had presumed him to be. When I get back home I will do a write up that does him and his awesome community justice; for now I'm just doing my best to grab some wi-fi time which means a number of posts will have to wait, but here's a pic of him presenting me with the painting that he did for the cover of Reborn:

What? The weird things on our heads? Oh, that's just the creative energy that was pouring out of us while we were together, hee.

And here's a bit of what we saw (and ate) in Arkansas:

Some authentic Mexican food... So authentic that we learned verde sauce in NY is not real verde sauce because real verde sauce will burn your tongue off

The place next door:

If I were to ever get a tattoo, it would definitely be from that guy :)

Zoe wanted to check out a rock and crystal store so we drove into the University of Arkansas college town which is a really cool strip-

While I was waiting for her to make her selections-

I went next door to this wicked looking bakery

Bought this delicious truffle-

And sampled it at a table in this neat little cove just outside:

After further exploration, we decided to go check out Bill and Hillary's first home for the hell of it.

What's up with the pig? Anyone?

And that about covers the Arkansas excursion, at least until I'm home again.

Next stop, New Mexico

You guys look like a fun bunch! I can feel the contagious holiday mood coming out of this post.
Now can you please tell us what a sexy beast is @therealpaul in real life????

O thou hot, creamy triple espresso, you slay me.

Ooh, how exciting for you to get the actual painting!

They had a few thousand miles yet to travel in the car, so she left it here for safekeeping, but she got to see it in real life at last! I'll get it to her somehow at a later date.

I didn't realise how big it was till I saw you both with it. It would take up a bit too much space while travelling. But there will be another opportunity I'm sure.

About that pig: that's a mind-control device used by the University of Arkansas. The student's tuition money is used to build bigger and better sports stadiums so that the subjects here can see the importance of the games. Sports are taken very seriously by the subjects, and the school's sports team is proudly known as The Arkansas Razorbacks.

A 'razorback' is a wild boar, a dangerous hog that swings it's sharp tusks at the ankles and foundation of it's prey during the chase. This is the college team's mascot.

Like any college football team, the Hog fans around here are encouraged to support their team with vicious opposition to neighboring states, and since I was a human being who was born in this geographical region, I was always encouraged by the Arkansas culture to, for example, hate the state of Texas. Why? Because they often beat the Razorbacks in the football games, and we are told that it's because Texas doesn't like Arkansas. Hog fans are taught to be frothing maniacs, that violence is justified when it's football season, and that other geographical regions are to be singled out and attacked for their beliefs. This philosophy can be summed up with phrases like Wooo, pig, sooie! and Go Hogs!

I once bought an old red truck down in Texas, and found this chrome 'razorback' hood ornament under the seat. I could probably get $300 for this rare sacred item down on the street during a home game, but I kind of like it.

I love that wee bit where you sampled the truffle. It all looks awesome but that little place looked as cool as a him-jiminy!

Is a him jiminy super cool? LOL. If you think that's cool, check out my newest post, holy shizit, I've been in an alien universe the past several days :)

Quite an amazing time you spent this is truly fun to see thanks for sharing that with us all :D

The cover looks massive! I didn't imagine it would be that big! That's what she said ;) Seriously though, I never imagined there would be so many awesome sights in Arkansas! Chief of course is The Bodacious Burnham! Two of my fave Steemians in one pic, that is so spectacular!
