Whatever that is able to take away your happiness has overcome you already. You can loose anything to your situation, but not your happiness. You can be happy if you choose to, no matter the situation or the circumstance, happiness is a matter of personal decision, you determine how long you want to stay in the unpalatable situations and when you want to be happy. If you choose to be happy now, nothing can stop you.
I don't know your current situation, I don't know what you are passing through currently, but I know that you can be happy if you choose to. Your happiness from within would make you to be in charge of your life by taking away the control force away from the situations around your life.
