Somewhat it’s hard to figure that out since our country faces a lot of problems. Here are some general impressions of the world about the Philippines: Extreme corruption, great poverty, and basis of low-cost manual labor even though it’s unpleasant, but unquestionably true.
Nevertheless, even with the many negative annotations that regularly overshadow the positive side, there are absolutely a lot of things to be proud of. Foremost of which is truly: ourselves. The Filipino people is well-known all over the world for noteworthy potentials, often downplayed or overlooked, but which yet brings pride to our beloved country.
Here are some traits that we best known to the world:
The Unleash Creativity

While being creative is not an fashionable trait possessed only by Filipinos, what makes ours different is the artistry, spontaneity, expressiveness, and humor that completely define Filipino creativity. Notwithstanding from the wealth of world-renowned Filipino the performing arts and talents in music, our country is fortune with visual fashion designers, artists, animators and many other artists. Filipinos are making rollers in the global scene, particularly in the theatre, artistic, and design industries.
“It’s More Fun in the Philippines” is a remarkable testimony to the creative minds and spontaneous wit that Filipinos generally share. This impromptu show of support to Philippine tourism merely proves that we can unite and use our collective ingenuity to rally behind a common cause for the benefit of the country.
The Nature of being Compassionate

Our inherent humanity is maybe best exemplified in our compassion for others. The kind of compassion that, not only senses sympathy, but bothers the morality to give help and get rid of the suffering of others. Our compassion is highly reflected in our personal capacity to assist others and in our cooperative spirit of volunteerism.

We Filipinos are highly-relational people, proficient in emotionally and socially linking with others. Our native kindness is very much apparent in the caring ways we cooperate with those close to us including others outside our kin circle. In fact, this mannerism is one of the distinct assets of millions of Filipino doctors, nurses, care givers, and nannies who have worked abroad. Mostly, we are known for our deepest concern, cherishing spirit, and gentle touch, which unsurprisingly make our workers in demand overseas. Though it may sometimes wipe us the wrong way that our country is regularly associated with overseas labor particularly domestic helpers, we can always look at it in a more optimistic view. We can stand proud of those Filipino workers who give brilliant and genuine care to the rest of the world.
The best of being Hospitable

Even abroad, our integral humanity is always reflected in our world-famous hospitality that really amazes everyone who has experienced it. Foreigners who come to visit the Philippines say that Filipinos going out of their way to assist them when lost, or the heartening generosity of a Filipino family accommodating a visitor in their poor home. Temporarily, most foreigners who attend Filipino get-togethers abroad testify to the warmth and openness of Filipinos as they experience that sense of “belongingness.” Certainly, the fabulous Filipino hospitality is not restricted to the Philippines. It is universally wherever there are Filipinos.

Besides creativity, we are highly adaptable to different people, cultures, and situations that generally make us well-versed beings. While overseas, we not only connect with fellow Filipinos but we also amend easily to different cultures and diverse people. We lean towards to make do with what little we have and find preference in the simple things. We adapt well in difficult circumstances that likewise showcase our flexibility as a nation. Others may view this as a general getting of fate or an extraordinary kind of handling mechanism. The Filipinos’ positive reaction to diversity, ambiguity and difficulty truly baffles, or at most amazes.
