RE: Neoxian City Photo Challenge | Roads

The other two are made on Iceland, long long time ago - during some hitchhiking trip around Iceland - which is a bad thing, if you are visiting Iceland during winter times.

Love it! The photo. Not hitchhiking in the wintertime. But then again I think everything depends of the clothes one has on. And I guess it's pretty easy to find a larger led operated thumb also from some sports event (not in Finland though) so you don't have to freeze your thumb off. And if the batteries last well in the minus temperatures, then with the led lights one could get a better hitchhiking visibility too. Especially if the truckers think it's a truck stop. Then you might have to have hot coffee with you too. And perhaps some cheese cake. Fresh baked. So this is why I don't hitchhike anymore. I like to travel light and baking ingredients, pots and pans, coffee beans, an oven, an espresso maker and tons of electricity cord, doesn't feel very light to me. And then there's always that one fool that drives over that electricity cord that I carefully laid only on the right side of the road (do they drive on the right side in Iceland? I think they do. No in the wrong side but the right side.) so that no-one wouldn't have to have the need to drive over it, and it's broken, and when I get no electricity, searching the place where the cord is cut, is almost as annoying as searching for that one light that has burnt in an old Christmas light cord. Aaaaaalmost as annoying.

Darn this comment kinda escalated.

You are welcome!

Hahaha, first of all - your comment is awesome! and I am so glad that it escalated. :D
Yes they drive regularly (on the right side) not unlike Australians ... in two months I almost died twice on a stupid roundabout and crossing points - and all these self-driving cars in the street.... still adjusting tho :D

There is this thing called gloves :D :D - also, they pass so rarely that you basically don't need a thumb, when you see something you just wave - like that you are stranded on some god forbidden island waiting for a rescue (any analogy is intentional :) )

Once again, thanks for making part of my day! :D

Cheers!
