an accepted principle or instruction that states the way things are or should be done, and tells you what you are allowed or are not allowed to do

Rules are what making our society at peace. It is something that we abide in order for our community to maintain peaceful relationship in our self, our neighbor and specially to our society. We humans tend to obey or disobey them.
We make rules to have hierarchy or to remain from the above.

The first rule that we humans first receive was:

Don't eat the forbidden fruit in the middle of the garden

This was the first rules that God has given to us. But Adam and Eve disobeyed Him.

The next rule was The 10 Commandments

1. “I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.”

2. “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.”

3. “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.”

4. “Honor thy father and mother.”

5. “Thou shalt not kill.”

6. “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

7. “Thou shalt not steal.”

8. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

9. “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.”

10. “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.”

These set of rules are made so that if you obey these rules you will have an everlasting happiness. disobey these rules and you will have an everlasting suffering. But, we humans have our own free will. We can choose whether we can follow these rules or not.

After these rules are being laid out and the information has been disseminate. We make our own set of rules to follow. To help our everyday life to be safe and to feel safe walking alone in the street. We always make a fool of our self.

As the rules imply "IGNORANCE TO THE LAW EXCUSES NO ONE".

We should follow the set rules that is being made and approve by our government. No matter how deep or shallow that rule may seem. We need to follow it.
