Left Me Lonely

At first I was determined;
Soon became distraught
Started questioning my purpose
Now I'm all alone
But it's we in all my thoughts
Reminders of what's been lost
Her affection is gone
Every night I pay the cost
Chasing what's familiar
Into a strangers arms

This contest inspired me to start writing again, for that I thank you from the bottom of my soul.

Please don't be too harsh this didn't take more than 30 minutes of distracted writing, thank you for reading fellow Steemians.
