I agree nobody else can take the responsibility, but others can make it better. You know so, I think, you just miss-phrased it. You do need to agree to be helped sometimes, but not even always, sometimes others can make it better even without you accepting help, or even they being conscious of helping.

I meant long-term. And deeply better, rather than as a bandaid. The deep work has to come from you, others, like medication, can help keep you afloat and help you find the air to do so.

Well, maybe. I mean, if a therapist is capable of providing long term help, then it is reasonable to assume other people can too.
Yes, therapists are professionals, but it suggests it's possible.

It's semantics, but I feel this was a semantic point to begin with, but therapists help you help yourself. They can't actually pull you out. They help you pull yourself out, because only you can do it.
