Summer Nights Like The Old Times
You know, there are people in your life that you can't do with or without. They are your family and no matter how much you can't stand them sometimes, there are other times you miss them and you wish they were here. I hadn't seen my sister in two months and she finally made it to come over for a quick visit. Tomorrow she'll have to leave again...
But in a while, we'll be out on the balcony, with our cousins, all sitting around that metallic table, speaking nonsense, munching on something unhealthy and drinking something equally unhealthy.
In a while, and even if it is for just tonight, it will feel like the old summers again, when we were younger and spent most of our time at home; because none of us had left for studies or work.
In a while, a taste of the past is going to feed our souls again.
So, no proper post for today.
Enjoy your summer nights!
Enjoy the company of your people!
Cherish your moments with them, because growing older, they become less and less.

I really really needed to read something like this. At the end of the day, family ranks amongst the top level relationships we have, no matter the ups or downs.
Agreed. But sometimes we may get lucky enough to make a few friends that feel like family.
I am going to follow you. I am giving you an update. I welcome you my blog.
In this sentence you enclose a simple truth and very sad but at the same time very real. The more time passes, those family moments that we treasure so much, become increasingly rare.
And already advancing in life, almost halfway, we begin to see some empty chairs that nobody occupies again. But that is another story!
The family will always be the best choice!
