My Superheroes

This superhero, he likes to run, laugh, laugh, make laugh, dance. He was happy to be enrolled in dance classes for this new year... My superhero is concentrated and inspired when he puts a leotard in our playroom under the rooftops. It's that he's beautiful and does nice things with his body, when he starts the Black Swan music up there, and he lets us watch it...

Except my superhero, he didn't like dancing lessons. He didn't like it because he didn't dance. "Mom, when dancing, you don't dance, you can just do what Emmanuelle tells you to do..." Seen like that, it's true, in his dance class, he didn't dance.

But then, what is my little boy going to do on Wednesdays? in what activity will he feel good? Wherever he goes, he'll have to do what adults ask! It's like at school,"You know, Mom, I'm tired of always having to do what grown-ups say!". He's sick of school, tired of Emmanuelle, tired of adults, my superhero... All this, he expressed it to me in the space of 10 days, in September, when it was still so much to take a step backwards for the dance, but for the school... For school, we heard him say,"You're sick of it, I hear you, I understand you." But let's go... And he, too, is going, today, with a cheerful heart. We never contradicted him, never said "oh, but yes! it's school, friends, all that...". No, we accepted his feelings, and I think that's the best thing we could do.

And for Wednesdays... Ah, Wednesdays... The dance teacher had suggested to us that he needs something to let this child off the hook! Something where he runs, where he moves... But that's his daily routine! Move, run, fly, fly, make people laugh! We wanted an activity that would change from other days to Wednesdays... an activity where he would have a frame, where he could land, all in confidence, with a little bit of freedom... And then, we found....

My superhero that everyone wanted to run makes plastic arts... Wednesday afternoons, you know when it starts, never too much when it ends. She is fabulous, the Lady of Plastic Arts, gentle, intelligent, intelligent, companion and talented... He adores our super artist, so we trust him. And we admire his work on Wednesday afternoons with much, much pride...
