EFF takes shots at SEC

in #brainfeed5 years ago

In what is ramping up to be an interesting legal fight, the SEC may have stepped over a line by procecuting a software dev for what his prodcut may be used for.

Surely the FED knows that cash is used in bank robberies, fraud and many other illegal activities.
Therefore are the FED liable for providing the currency?

The same style of argument by the SEC, highlights some interesting aspects of the whole SEC vs crypto world.
To enforce regs designed for a different age & system, rather than pass new laws more suited seems strange.

Hopefully the EFF can bring some sense to the issue for the benefit not just of the crypto world, but the USA in particular, as these regs, are simply stumbling blocks for a world moving to crypto, where the USA may get left behind.
