NYC Late Winter Returns For 2 Days
Good morning everyone. After a eerily mild night late night, colder air is starting to transit into the area for the next couple of days. Will it be cold enough to see some flakes in the area? Find out below.

We start off cloudy today as the rest of yesterday's cold is having a hard time pushing far enough away. Expect morning clouds, PM sun, and a breezy day developing. Highs today will be near 50, but then we sink to near 30 overnight. 20's will certainly be found N&W of NYC and parts of Long Island.
Low to mid 40's will be the best we do tomorrow under sunny skies and lighter winds.
For Monday, 2 areas of disturbed weather will combine to our west and spread some precipitation into the region. With lows in the low 30's Sunday night, there will be enough cold air in place to give us some wet snow IF precipitation starts early enough. Regardless of what happens, anything that does fall will be light and have issues sticking in our area (aside from tree branches, grass, and cars). The. best chance to see a small accumulation will be N&W of NYC, especially the Poconos.
Whatever flakes do fall, if anything at all, will change to a steady cold rain as the main batch of moisture heads in. We'll have highs in the low 40's for a real nasty and raw feel.
Some sun returns on Tuesday as everything clears out, and we modify very quickly back into the mid 50's. We'll have another chance of rain Wednesday with this very fast moving pattern.
