NYC Morning Fog PM Thunderstorm Possible
Good morning everyone. As expected, we have a foggy start this morning, but we'll have a mild afternoon and maybe even a heavy thunderstorm later. Cooler air works in tomorrow, and it'll be unseasonably cold Sunday and Monday before we modify Tuesday.
SATELLITE
We'll pretty much be socked in with the clouds all day today, with maybe some blue patches here and there. Morning fog will lift between 11am-1pm, then it'll become humid and very mild. Look for highs in the 70-75 range in the NYC area, but cooler along the immediate shore and further east on Long Island.
Later on, we'll have the slight chance of a heavy thunderstorm, but all we can do at this moment is watch the radar and see where things develop.
Cooler air rushes in tomorrow with sunny skies and breezy conditions. We'll get to 50, but it won't feel like it. Lows drop into the upper 20's to low 30's overnight tomorrow, and we'll barely make it to the mid 40's for Sunday. Winds will relax a bit, so it'll feel warmer, but it won't be.
Another system heads through on Monday with weak low pressure scooting to our south and another piece of energy going north. Those will combine to make a raw, cold, and rainy day. Since the combined system is weak, most of the rain will be light, but the gloom & raw feel will be heavy.
Sun returns Tuesday, as does mid 50's.
