Invent

Not everyone has the inventive mind and patience to invent something new. If you have the knack of building ingenious solutions; you can patent or copyright your intellectual property to mark your ownership. However, if you want to become a billionaire, you need to bring your invention to the mass market at a cost they can afford. Make sure you expand as quickly as you can. The quicker you expand, the quicker you populate a market, and the harder it then is for any competitor to operate.

Innovate

Maybe you tried inventing and concluded that it’s not for you. Don’t worry, there’s another way — innovate. There are so many products or services that are already in the mainstream market. If you could figure a creative way to improve those offerings, you can potentially be the new ruler of the market. To do that, you got to really understand what the users really need and identified why the current solutions are not the best solutions. IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad is a great example of someone who used innovation to yield billions. Furniture doesn't seem like a very exciting market, but his approach of providing modular, economical pieces with a modern flair from Sweden and other European designers and manufacturers to a global market proved fruitful.

Immersing yourself in investing to build wealth exponentially is another way to become a billionaire. Warren Buffett is probably the most famous example whom beside his maverick-like investment thesis, is also known for his frugal lifestyle. There are many investment vehicles to choose from, but primarily you want to achieve effective ways to snowball your wealth exponentially over time.
