RE: Why Venture Philanthropy Can Thrive In A Decentralised Economy

in #business6 years ago

It does seem like this environment would lend itself well to philanthropy and fund raising. The only thing that worries me (a little) is that there seems to be a lot of attention poured into what people can do with the technology at the "wholesale" (ICOs, venture capital) level, but not much is happening at the "retail" (end user) level. To use a metaphor, there are lots of "stores" being built, nobody's stopped to think about "customers."

That said, this does sound like an interesting blockchain usage!

You make a good observation and I share you sentiments! I think I’ll actually do a post on it and look into which blockchain products actually generate their own income!

At the moment it’s all idealistic and no real application if any it’s almost laughable at this point considering how much money has been thrown into some of these projects! The problem. Is blockchain projects are being overvalued and overcapitalised as this digital gold rush has everyone in frenzy! The ICO market too me defiantly represents a bubble and once it implodes and the marker consolidates itself the projects with merit survive and we can take the industry forward in a practical manner

If you want to check out my post on the ICO bubble you can find it here
