As an entrepreneur, crypto-enthusiast and digital marketing, I find it crucial to keep myself educated. You can’t just keep up with the latest industry trends, you have to be ahead of the curve, if you want to excel in your business ventures and your life overall. You need to stay motivated while trying to achieve massive goals, and one way to do it is by reading books. Books can really help you to inspire and grow as an entrepreneur, and I pick up incredible tips, advice, and business strategies when I read. If you stop your education, you stop your growth. If you want to excel, you need to carve out the time to grow and nurture. Here are six business books I’ve enjoyed reading.

Business Adventures: Twelve Classic Tales from the World of Wall Street
By John Brooks

This book is a must-read for all entrepreneurs and businesspeople, if you want to learn about some of the most incredible rises and disasters in big business history. Bill Gates says this is his favorite book, and that Warren Buffett recommended it to him. It includes stories about Ford Motor Company, General Electric, and Texas Sulphur. These stories about Wall Street are full of drama and reveal just how much of a monster the world of finance can be.

The Intelligent Investor: The Definitive Book on Value Investing. A Book of Practical Counsel
By Benjamin Graham

Graham is considered one of the greatest investment advisors in the 20th century, and while this stock market bible was originally published in 1949, the market has proven over the decades that his strategy is reliable. The revised edition includes updated commentary, but the original philosophy of “value investing” has proven to be timeless wisdom. Buffett has also said this is the “best book on investing ever written.”

The Outsiders: Eight Unconventional CEOs and Their Radically Rational Blueprint for Success
By William N. Thorndike

What makes a successful CEO? This book dives right into it. You may not know the names of these people outlined in this book by Thorndike, but you’ll definitely know their companies. In this book, you’ll learn about what traits they had in common, that helped propel these unconventional leaders to incredible success. Maybe you can take a page out of their book.

Think and Grow Rich: For Men and Women who Resent Poverty
By Napoleon Hill

Hill interviewed 500 successful people, over the course of two decades. They included Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, John D. Rockefeller, George Eastman, William Wrigley Jr. and Charles M. Schwab. Hill then took his research, and turned it into what he identified as 13 steps for success. His philosophy is universal, and some say this book has changed their lives.

Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don't
By Jim Collins

I love this one because the findings in it may genuinely surprise you. Collins and his researchers sorted through nearly 1,500 companies, looking for ones that excelled over time. They picked 11, and dug into traits they had in common, which actually seem to go against conventional corporate success. This book can be a road map for success for other entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

In Search of Excellence: Lessons from America's Best-Run Companies
By Jr. Robert H. Waterman

This book studied 43 companies in America, which are well-run. Then, the author breaks down what they found to be eight different principles of management, which helped these companies find their success. This book is pretty upbeat, and less cut-and-dry than you might expect. The advice includes treating people well, encouraging them to be their best selves, dressing casual, and being flexible.
