I am an English/ Chinese Translator

From English to Chinese,
I translate never with complete comfort and ease.
Between these two languages,
I do interpret with a light heart to make the air not freeze.

Because,

Translation requires accuracy apart from flow and proper tone,
And I am a serious person with standards set high for my own,
While interpretation is to make messages to the audience instantly known,
And I humbly believe I have the right skill and ready wit, even over a phone!

But,

Both processes can create flows of great fun,
Making this body of mind of mine always like to run,
Whether in the inspiring rain or under the drying sun,
Until all is well and perfectly done!

I am an English / Chinese translator and interpreter with 7 years of experience in various fields;
I studied Software Engineering and Translation from China's top 1 university, Peking University;
And also have a bachelor's degree in Physics;

Apart from that, I also have basic or intermediate level of knowledge in many other disciplines. For example, I read books and attended lectures on Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Chinese Constitution, Criminal Law, Property Law, Contract Law, History of Chinese Law, Linguistics, Biology, Psychology, Mathematics and more still growing.

And I am currently studying and working on translation of legal documents.

When I am doing translation, I always follow, almost unconsciously, my own upward spiral process of Read, Think, Research & Investigate, Translate and Proofread until I am finally happy with the translation, although due to my translation skills honed and knowledge base expanded through all these years' experience, this process normally takes not a very long time.
