Student entrepreneur succeed more in school

Entrepreneurs are basically risk takers, intelligent people who think ahead because of their intellectual reasoning ahead of some people. Student entrepreneur knows the value of money and education and believe so much that if these two basic things (business and education) are being balanced they can survive well during school and life after school. But the question is how true does a student entrepreneur succeed more in school? How do they manage business and school together?

Entrepreneur is the process through which business is launched, established initialed,conceptualized and innovated, its basically the act of starting a business in other to make profit. Ideas are translated into a planned and satisfactory implemented activities to make money. Entrepreneur are know to be creative, intelligent, risk takers, so then how can a student survive or succeed in school mixing academic with business when school activities drains both mentally and physically, completing assignments on time, study for exams e. t. c

As a student the primary purpose is to learn and become educated. Although good things do not come easily, definitely a price have to be paid, sacrifice had to be made to be a successful entrepreneur. Some students share their experience of being a student entrepreneur.

Agatha Osborn a 300l student of kaduna State University said she believe that student entrepreneur succeed more in school but running tailoring with school was a big challenge and great advantage, she said that rendering services to her customer ,putting food on her table and not getting financial support from home made her focused and be determined in her tailoring business because she was able to meet up with her school needs.

Deborah James a hairdresser ,Student of mass communication department, kaduna polytechnic Said that her challenge in school was that when ever she's prepared for lecturers, some customers comes in to make their hair and due to this fact, she forfeit her lecturers, class attendance and sometimes misses test and she can't concentrate much in her studies especially during exams, she finds it difficult to study well this is because the time she is suppose to read, she Uses the time to relax her head although the money she gets from her services helps her meet up with the financial needs of school.

Lucia Ayuba a student entrepreneur who deals with selling of ladies wear believes strongly that a student entrepreneur succeed more in school and for she manages her time judiciously, she sacrifices two or three hours of her time after lectures to sell her goods to students in the school and hostel so there is no hindrance between her schooling and business but the only challenge she had was that selling her goods on time, she need to reduce the prices because of students and they don't pay up at the appropriate time. She said that her business made her not to depend on anyone for help.

With the current situation in our country, everyone is encouraged to be an entrepreneur either skilled or unskilled that's why Entrepreneur should be encouraged in our school because it will prepare the students mind to labor market and how much to survive independently. There is no doubt that bringing up a student as an entrepreneur isn't an easy task but it helps students learn how to manage time, self discipline, independent and boost their level of reasoning.

Entrepreneurship is essential preparation for graduates to tackle society's most pressing issues.
