In my views answer is YES.
We can do milk as well meat business also with the goats.
If you are having land then you have to decide which goats you wants to purchase in the beginning.
In my views first you have to go with your local breads. I am mentioning the name of the breed where they have found so you can decide according to your state.
Jamunapari: Founds in Uttar Pradesh.(Its coat colour is white with tan or black markings at neck and ears).
Beetel: Founds in Punjab.(Coat Colour is predominantly black;or brown with white spots of distering size)
Barbari: Founds in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon, Karnal, Panipat and Rohtak in Haryana.(This is short haired and erect-horned goat)
KOTA Goats: Founds in Kota, Rajasthan. Very popular for meat and milk.
KOTA goats can easily manage in every environment.
So you can decide according to your states which one is profitable for you.
But for beginners you can purchase 6 months old goats male and female not less than this age other wise you have to give too much proper attention on them.
