The Tipping Point Community is a non-profit charity and grantmaker founded by Daniel Lurie in 2005. The main goal of the organization is to break the cycle of poverty for the 1.3 million people living in the Bay Area. of San Francisco, and investing in the most promising solutions that could provide an enriching early childhood, solid education, paid employment and safe housing.

The organization collaborates with the public sector to increase the impact and create various policies for a scalable change. Donations were made through a web page in the program present during the event.

The money was donated through a bracelet that had a QR code. There were also no oars for the live auction, when they wanted to donate, they simply had to raise their hands. The name of the donor would instantly go to the screen in the center of the auction stage.

The Tipping Point Board of Directors funds 100% of the gala's operating costs, so each dollar raised goes directly to the most effective non-profit organizations that work to provide support in development, education, housing and employment in the early childhood

The benefit gala was attended by more than 1000 people at the Bill Graham Civic Center, there was a mixture of technological giants, venture capitalists, people from society and influential people; which canceled tickets that ranged between US $ 500 and US $ 3000.

Daniel Lurie, CEO + Founder of Tipping Point, offered a reminder of what is possible when the Bay Area gathers its best resources for the benefit of the most needy.

The unbiased and non-judgmental attitude exhibited by Tipping Point had attracted the attention of the popular Crypto Titans who attended the benefits gala, this included Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and the CEO and founder of Panther, Capital Management.

The Tipping Point community has managed to raise more than US $ 150 million since it began in 2005. They are also welcoming pro-bono partners to provide services and experience for the fight against poverty.

A cryptocurrency investor Larry Evan tweeted :

"By accepting Crypto Tipping Point, the Gala raised US $ 14 million in donations ... The gala comprises the moment that Tipping Point has accepted donations of #criptodivisa, and the event is attended by the respective #chiefexecutive of #Coinbase, #Ripple"

Undoubtedly, what has been done by this community has demonstrated once again how revolutionary cryptocurrencies are to insert concrete solutions in real time to solve complex problems such as poverty.
