Ordinary cars with a driver will be banned after 20 years???
Bob Lutz believes that in the next 20 years, traditional cars will almost disappear from city streets, just as in the twentieth century this happened to horses. Machines will give way to autonomous vehicles.
The transition to drones, according to Bob Lutz, will happen in the next 15-20 years. The turning point will come when autonomous cars make up 20-30% of traffic. In this case, the society will believe in their safety, and ordinary cars can soon be banned altogether.
According to Lutz's forecasts, in the near future all cars will be on the auto-pilot without a human driving and steering. This new generation vehicles will not even have logos of manufactures, but instead they will have service icons like Uber, Lyft, FedEx or Amazon.
It is hard to believe that all this will happen in 20 years. Lets recap what we had 19-20 years ago:
- President of the United States of America was Bill Clinton
- Russian Federation's President was not Putin but Boris Yeltsin
- French football (soccer) national team became the world champions beating Brazil in final game 3-0
- Chicago Bulls became NBA champions with Michael Jordan beating Utah Jazz in Finals
- This was a new Mercedes C-Klass
No BMW, No Mercedes, No Audi, No Ford etc
This is unreal!
