The loss of a relative or friend is undoubtedly one of the most difficult things that could happen. The death of a loved one or close can cause a very deep pain. We can see the lost as a natural part of life although it can hit us so strongly, which can treat as a consequence to long periods of sadness and depression.

Each person has a different way of reacting to this type of situation, and we put our own mechanisms to cope with this loss. Many investigations indicate that with the passage of time it is easier to recover although there is no duration of this pain.
We can take into account that most of us can overcome the loss and continue with our lives, human beings by nature have the ability to resilience, but there are also people who find it difficult to overcome this loss.
These people could go through what is called complicated duel.

How to continue with life

People who grieve may find some of these strategies helpful in dealing with their loss.

  • Talking about the death of your loved one with your friends in order to understand what happened and remind your friend or relative, denying that death occurred leads to isolation easily.

  • Accept their feelings After death and someone close to you, you can experiment with many emotions and it is normal to feel sadness, anger, frustration, and exhaustion.

If the case arises in which you feel that your overwhelms you or that you can not overcome them, perhaps talking to a professional like a psychologist could be very helpful.

How can psychologists help?

Psychologists are people trained in training that allows them to help people more productively manage the fear, guilt or anxiety that can come as a result of the death of a loved one.
