To the east of Venezuela was Mr. Aguilar's hacienda with cattle, horses and more than a thousand bushes and fruit trees, among which the mango, parchita guanabana, cambur and avocado trees stood out, he had earned what he had with work and effort, he had started out as the right hand man of his boss and because of his hard work and loyalty they helped him to have his own hacienda and he did it in the best way he had about 30 people working for him, all older but there was one who was 16 years old called Joaquin, he had come asking for some mangoes and he stayed at Aguilar's ranch who didn't deny anything to anyone and helped everyone. Joaquín was not allowed to work because he was a minor, but little by little, with his desire to come up and take something home, he gradually gained the trust of Mr. Aguilar and when he turned 18, he felt him and spoke to him like a man, "you are no longer the child who eats mango, you must make your life and go to the navy, as everyone does, I will not tie you up, you are free to choose and so I ask you today, do you want to leave or do you stay here?"You never asked me for anything and you helped my family, especially my mother who, through you, was able to have gallbladder surgery, which she had been complaining about for years and also motivated me to continue my studies and even though none of this happened, In my principles this is loyalty and I will continue with you" Mr. Aguilar who was a mere male, of those who do not cry, a couple of tears came out when he heard what Joaquin said to whom he had taken a lot of appreciation, in the middle of the conversation came out a bottle of rum and gave a few drinks to the young man to celebrate his coming of age and the great news that he would stay, he immediately got drunk but they were happy.

The next day Mr. Aguilar got Joaquin a jeep to monitor the work at the hacienda and that was going to be his job, gave him the position of foreman and Mr. Aguilar had no need to leave, Joaquin gave him all the reports, One day, like everyone else, Joaquín giving the tour meets people at the gate who said they were government employees and that they needed to inspect the area but Joaquín won't let them in, he starts the jeep and looks for his boss, tells him what was happening and they get into the jeep and go there, they arrive and the people tell him that they come to see the state of the hacienda and ask him questions about how they treat the workers, they pass by and when they see how beautiful that place was and how prosperous it was, once and for all, their eyes were full of greed, it was a dreamed paradise, they take a walk and they leave in wonder, The next day they returned with some papers that said that the laws were not followed, that everything was wrong there and they were going to be expropriated for not complying with the rules and the treatment of the employees was very bad, nobody spoke, nobody said anything or came to the defense of Mr. Aguilar only Joaquin denying that, he was very angry that they were raising those slanders.

He remained faithful and was the only one who fought for Mr. Aguilar, who annoyedly began the battle for his hacienda and with him Joaquin and a few workers, but the men did not go every day, but they knew they had a mine in food and land so much that they got in and took Mr. Aguilar out of their properties, with a role of "EXPROPIADO" in hand and with military forces, Joaquin is the only one who takes his side, goes out to look for a cousin of the army but he tells them that he can't get into it, tries to get back into the hacienda and they have already changed locks, locks and so on, He could not enter and in the background he saw that his other workers had been left as employees of the government people and were not loyal, that put him very badly and he decided to go on a public hunger strike for what had happened, he asked for coverage on television and radio and Joaquin did not doubt it and accompanied him in the process, he never left him, he never separated from him, one month later Aguilar dies devastated by the disappointment of having lost what he had achieved with so much effort, Joaquin, who could leave that behind, was still in the fight, but 15 days later he died, like a true man he remained faithful and loyal, the hacienda that belonged to Mr. Aguilar had nothing for 2 months, had been destroyed, the true loyalty is not bought, it is built from the heart and Joaquin demonstrated it.
