STEEMCHURCH: The raising of Lazaro

in #busy6 years ago (edited)

Dear esteemenans

The narrative in the Gospel of John concerning the resurrection of Lazarus by Jesus has many teachings for us. It shows us the divinity of the Lord Jesus and the intimate relationship he had with his Father, and on the other hand, shows his perfect humanity. In addition to this his love and compassion towards the human being and his indignation before all that sin has brought to man. It is, therefore, a passage where we clearly see the Glory of God .John 11

Today we live daily miracles similar to the resurrection of Lazaro in transplanted patients, in honor of these patients the World Health Organization declared to June 6, as a world transplanted day. Thanks to medical science and the mercy of the Lord these patients thanks to donations of organs of deceased people receive the blessing of improving their quality of life.

The miracle of the resurrection of Lazarus, is the greatest of the miracles we find in the Gospel of John, before Jesus' own resurrection, of course, and that was the trigger for the events that were to lead to his own death and resurrection.

38 So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, *came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it. 39 Jesus *said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, *said to Him, “Lord, by this time [j]there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus *said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41 So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the [k]people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” 44 The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus *said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” John 11 38-44

Let us pray to the Lord to allow the transplanted patients the healing of God, a good quality of life, to receive the peace that the Spirit of Jesus offers, and the affection, attention and caring of their families. Let us also pray for the consolation to which his loved ones have already left the meeting of the Lord.

Waiting for your upvotes , comments and resteem.

Best regards
