Fundition presents: T-R-F: SteemFest 2018 Travel Reimbursement Fund
We know that you can not keep track of everything no matter how hard you want to but that is why you have us. We will gladly come to your rescue and provide important information that you REALLY need to KNOW. This time, that information is about an amazing and helpful project made by @t-r-f.

@t-r-f stands for Travel Reimbursement Fund. It is a cause that allows you to donate any amount that will later be used to relieve some of the travel expenses of SteemFest attendees and will be distributed after the SteemFest event to them. It already successfully worked in both 2016 and 2017 with the following distributions:

This year, they are hoping to refund even more people, and you can help them with that!
We will help you understand how this project works for you as an attendee of SteemFest and for you as a supporter and backer of it. Let's start with attendees...

for your travel expenses of SteemFest?
So, you are already all packed and ready to go. We understand your enthusiasm. You are looking forward to SteemFest and you should be, it is going to be an amazing experience for you. If you are looking at your briefcase and thinking about how in order to afford this trip you are sacrificing having toilet paper and food when you get back, do not worry. @t-r-f will help you. This is what will happen...
STEP 1: In Kraków on Conference Day 1 & 2 you can apply for the 'Travel Reimbursement Fund' (during coffee breaks) by registering the trip details at the SteemFest Desk. You will have to show proof of travel and your ticket.
STEP 2: Reimbursement will be based on miles travelled. The starting point will be the distance from the airport of departure to Qubus hotel in Kraków. The distance is based on line-of-sight straight point distance, and the 'SBD/Steem per Mile'-rate will be the same for all.
STEP 3 : At the end of Conference Day 2 (18:00 / 6 PM) the application entry closes and the total amount of Miles traveled by all applicants is available. The SBD/Mile & Steem/Mile rates will be established and the payouts will be automatically executed via a script soon after SteemFest. Applicants will both get Steem and SBD.

SteemFest is holding place in Krakow, Poland this year. It starts on 7.11. and ends on 11.11. There will be two conference days, multiple social events, tourist explorations and a closing dinner on Sunday. We are absolutely sure that SteemFest will be a wonderful experience for everyone who will participate and we are proud to support this project that helps them achieve that experience more easily and with less worry. This is an amazing initiative and WONDERFUL thing you are doing.
I'm actually trying to earn my way this year, holding a raffle right now to cover the last of my travel expenses so I can make it.
And I DO identify with saving on food and toilet paper.... haha I am eating the cheapest most horrible food I can find lol and I might have skippd breakfast today.
Don't tell my doctor.
I'll come back to this in a few days and resteem. Next year, it's my goal to be able to actually get a ticket for someone or donate funds for reimbursement.
If I raise extra money through my steem monsters raffle that I'm doing now...
