Oh am I excited to talk about this

Hello everybody, welcome back for another anime review. Today's anime will be Steins;Gate. So let's cut the nonsense and actually start talking about the anime.

What is Steins;Gate?

Steins;Gate is one out of the five semicolon series, this includes Chaos;Head, Robotics;Notes, Chaos;Child, and Steins;Gate 0. If you guys would like to see a review on anything else of the semicolon series, please let me know in the comments below. Steins;Gate started off as a visual novel for the Xbox 360 on October 15, 2009, by 5pb. Inc., Nitroplus. This game later moved to PC and Playstation not too long after the original release. They then later announced that the game was getting an anime adaptation in 2011.

The story is about a group of friends, that just recently got out of high school, which accidentally end up making a time machine and sending E-Mails to the past which they refer to as D-Mails. Okabe Rintaro, the "mad scientist" of the group, founded the Future Gadget Lab and recruited lab members. The lab member names go as follows:

001 - Rintaro Okabe (Founder and leader)
002 - Mayuri Shiina
003 - Itaru Hashida
004 - Kurisu Makise
005 - Kiryu Moeka
006 - Luka Urushibara
007 - Akiha Rumiho
008 - Suzuha Amane
009 - Maho Hiyajo
010 - Kagari Shiina
011 - Yuki Amane

The goal of the time machine is to achieve an alternate world timeline Okabe likes to refer to as "Steins Gate" which is the perfect timeline were everyone can live in peace. This series has two shoes with a non-canon movie, Load Region of Déjà Vu. Both shows have about 20 episodes so it's not the length of a series.

My Honest Opinion

Steins;Gate is a work of art. This show gave me a different outlook on anime in general. The plot is very complex but brilliant. The character development in the show is perfectly balanced and has lovable characters. The first half of the show is slow because it is building the foundation of the plot. The second half ten billion percent makes up for it. It has action, suspense, drama, and eye-widening moments. The ending of the show hits so hard that I still think about it and smile from time to time. The show is the perfect mix of Sci-fi and a light novel and is why I dub it my favorite anime of all time.

Would I recommend this show? H YEH! I can for sure recommend to literally every human being on the planet Earth.

Nice write up, there's always more needed in the scope of anime discussion on these forums. Also with the integration into the mainstream it has a lot more topics going on like the gambling anime series on Netflix Kakegurui for example which has been fun to follow.

P.S. your pictures aren't loading quite correctly so make sure you are using their uploader and preview before submitting :)

Thank you for the recommendation! Yeah, I'm aware, Busy has been acting weird lately. They should be working now :)
