Curiosities about Deep Web (English version)

in #busy6 years ago

We all know that the Internet is very broad. When they send us to a task and we decided to do that tiny search on the Web, we only have two pages for pure mateo, but there are many more that we really want to do a little better research. If we do it with Google, use the search tab 1 or 2, at most, of 20 or more with the miles or millions of pages that probably talk about the subject, whether in English, Spanish, Chinese or French. They are almost uncountable by ourselves.

However, this is only an important part of what is the Web or the Internet. Therefore, if you only see the visible part of the internet, you only see 10% of the information provided. O mar, we see a miles or millions of pages and it is only 10% of the information.

A little bit, right?

All this information that you see, is the legal information. But as you may have noticed, it is not the only one. There is 90% information that is not easy to access, but by specialized search engines for it. And a lot of all this information is, yes, illegal. And this is known as Deep Web or Deep Internet.

The Deep Web

The Deep Web, is that site in this cybernetic world that you can not access in the conventional way. Using Google, Yahoo, Bing, among others. And although I said that a lot of information that is found there is illegal, it does not mean that by entering there you are already a criminal. In fact, there are many ways to access it, through certain browsers that allow it, however it is not advisable to do it just for the sake of curiosity.

Why?

Due to the fact that a lot of information is published there, it has tons of viruses and Trojans that just click on it, impregnate your computer and they can steal your data. Also, if you do not have a way to hide your IP address and you enter for curiosity or error to some page of commercial services, for example, like sexual exploitation, you can fall into the black list of the very same FBI.

A few services provided by Deep Web

Here I am going to name are a few services that I found on this page: Information about Deep Web (spanish information)

  • Financial services: washing bitcoins, stolen PayPal accounts, cloned credit cards, counterfeit bills, anonymous money wallets. Obviously, all this information is illegal and try to enter them just out of curiosity, it's the same as going straight to jail to be prosecuted because you want it yourself.
  • Commercial services: sexual exploitation and black market: stolen gadgets, weapons and ammunition, false documentation and, above all, drugs. Same here.
  • Anonymity and security: instructions to reinforce privacy in Tor, especially for a sale or in transactions with bitcoins. Mmm this is quite simple and good as information.
  • Hosting services: web hosting and image storage where privacy is placed first. Some prohibit uploading illegal files and others do not have any restrictions. Interesting information, too.
  • Blogs, forums and image boards: apart from those linked to the sales services, two frequent categories of this type of community are hacking and the exchange of images of all kinds.
  • Mail and messaging services: some email addresses are free (generally they only offer webmail) and others are paid, with SSL and IMAP support. Most chat services work on IRC or XMPP.
  • Political activism: exchange of censored files, hacktivism and even a page to organize "mass financed financing". Anarchy is the predominant ideology in the deep web, how could it be otherwise.
  • State secrets and snitches: there is a WikiLeaks mirror in the deep web, and several pages where to publish secrets with little activity. The most interesting is a website about the secret tunnels of the University of Virginia Tech.
  • Books: virtual libraries that measure several gigas and contain thousands of ebooks in different formats. Many of them are copyright-free and others are illegally distributed as direct downloads.
  • Erotic pages: payment and free access. The subcategories are colorful and without any moral limit.

Another services on the Deep Web

The worst thing that Deep Web has is the traffic of minors, hired killers and hacking services. This, personally, is the worst thing that can exist on this website, because they simply and simply promote atrocious crimes, such as the deprivation of sexual freedom, life and the security of personal identity. I did not want to talk about this, due to the fact that I do not find prudent information to share, although everything is also referred to in the above source.

To conclude, this post is not made for people to try to enter the Web, but as a curious fact that perhaps there was no information and that perhaps it is worth knowing, so as not to enter unconsciously towards it. Because as I said before, your income is not illegal, but the use that is given and the information you want to find there, on the other hand, yes it is.

Regards!
