Vadu – Born to be wiiiiiiild

What have I done wrong to you, human? I've always taken care of you, fed you and helped you to move on! And how did you reward me? You burned and cut my woods and poisoned my water!
I thought everything I see in front of my eyes belongs to me ...

Have you ever wondered what nature would reproach humans if she could speak? Honestly, to use a famous Romanian saying, "not even all the Danube water would wash him" of its anger for the damage done over time to the only planet where the survival of mankind is possible!

A solid case is also the one of the Romanian seaside, which has undergone through a lot of transformations since tourism has become an industry. However, Romania has preserved, at least at the moment, the luxury of having an untouched beach of imposing hotels, high-class clubs, and restaurants. Wild and charming, Vadu is among the few virgin beaches that still exists in Romania. I’m saying for now because they all have a start... Considered the new Vama Veche, Vadu beach attracts through diversity and splendor. And spirit! Free and young! And always keen on adventure and beautiful ...

Once protected by the damaging hand of humans, Vadu beach has become for several years the heaven of those for whom the sea and its charm represents only the nature in all its splendor, and not the clubs, alcohol in excess and dancing until dawn.

But like every beautiful thing does not last too long, with those former Vama Veche lovers who cherish quietness and wilderness, at Vadu started to appear the "boys" for which the roads no longer pose any challenge. The evenings on the beach, in this dream view, suddenly became "concerts" of these "wise guys" that transformed the beach into an F1 circuit. With their SUV’s, the boys wanted to have fun and show their artistry drifting on the beach, at only a few meters from the tents of people that were preparing for sleep, throwing the sand into the air. The circus continued the next morning when several guys reached the Vadu beach for the same purpose: to display their SUVs, probably because at Mamaia the competition was too big.

Otherwise, about Vadu, everything is just fine! The way to the beach reminds of stories with adventurers. From Vadu, the way to the beach probably remained like in the Roman period, but this is also part of the greatness of Dobrogea region. After a few km on a road that crosses all the surrounding vegetation, reminding you of the Danube Delta, you reach the beach that fascinates you from your first rendezvous. First, because of the wilderness. You will not see towel near towel, no bad music at high volume, no crowded water or noisy jet skies! No, just you and the sea! Otherwise, only normal people who had planted their tents and pebbles, but a few hundred meters away from each other. In other words, space! It is forbidden to build here!

The Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve does not allow the lifting of hotels, hostels or other types of housing, that’s why the low number of tourists. Your tent is your house!

During the day, the atmosphere is ideal. Quiet, a lot of quiet, civilized people and a dream sight. In the evening, you have to be armed with patience, peace, and you have to realize that violence is not the solution. Why am I saying that? Because after 21 o'clock, a whole bunch of mosquitoes “attack” you from all sides without having an area of your body untouched by them! As if it wasn’t enough, other mutant insects (I didn’t find out their name), start an avalanche of assaults on you.
The silence begins after midnight, only after the mosquitoes begin their siesta. It's time to discover the most serene and starry sky ever seen!

All in all, a great place to discover if you feel able to respect his rules. Written and unwritten!
