Time to start buying GPU's

What's up STEMS ! I want to know what your thoughts about 2 major things :

1 . Which of the 2 are better - Cloud mining or "home " mining . Explain in details your answers

2nd What are the best GPUs you know of for mining ETH and XMR .
I am considering to buy some to start mining at home but would like to hear from someone else what would be a better choice because I am not very experienced in this and as such am seeking help .
I don't really want to buy crypto because that is hard and nerve wrecking and besides having a GPU would also help me for my gaming purposes when needed . So in any case I would be in a win - win situation and if mining difficulty goes up I change the coin I mine .
