Finding Simple Joys in the Backyard
The kids and I got a chance to visit my sister at her house in Bulacan last week. It's always nice to have her place to "escape" to when we want to get away from the craziness of the city. I am so grateful to have that.
She has a big backyard full of fruit trees and all sorts of vegetables and herbs.
The kids had fun picking sweet green mangoes that are within their reach.
Having a backyard is also recent novelty for my kids. It's been over a year since we had one where we lived. We definitely need one for our dog to run around at and get some exercise.
But for now, we just get to share and enjoy my sister's yard until we can have our own.
