I do not know about you, but I thought that the oxygen that we breathe combines with carbon and turns into carbon dioxide. In fact, this is not so. Carbon dioxide is released during the reaction of glucose oxidation. And oxygen combines in hydrogen, turns into water. Here is a complicated process of glucose oxidation, involving oxygen and carbon dioxide release.
