Meu dia de eleições no Brasil foi passado de forma inusitada.
Como sou português e não voto decidi passar o dia em casa da minha sogra no bairro Serrinha ao lado do Aeroporto internacional Pinto Martins em Fortaleza, para fazer manutenção preventiva em duas máquinas de costura.
Uma máquina Zigzag modelo 20U e uma overlock modificada para ponto cadeia.
O serviço que se previa ser rápido se tornou numa aventura que durou quase um dia de serviço.
A primeira máquina foi dentro do normal com pequenas afinações, retirada de folgas nos eixos e lubrificação geral.

Chegou a altura de pegar no clássico "bucho".
Máquina quase não tinha óleo, no interior do carter restou mais de 2 cm de lama e crosta seca fruto de nunca ter sido feita manutenção preventiva da mesma.
Verifiquei que sistema diferencial já estava travado.
Efetuada limpeza interna e externa e destravamento da máquina. Todas as regulagens de loopers e altura da barra da agulha estavam perfeitas, não foi necessário mexer.
Depois de montar todas as peças retiradas foi feita passagem e regulagem da tensão das linhas e testada a máquina deu um ponto perfeito.
Serviço cumprido agora é hora de voltar a casa em Beberibe.

Swim in the mud
My election day in Brazil was unprecedented.
As I am Portuguese and do not vote I decided to spend the day at my mother-in-law's house in the Serrinha neighborhood next to the Pinto Martins International Airport in Fortaleza, to do preventive maintenance on two sewing machines.
A Zigzag model 20U machine and a modified overlock for chain stitch.
The service expected to be fast became an adventure that lasted almost a day of service.
The first machine was inside the normal one with small adjustments, withdrawal of slack in the axles and general lubrication.
Overlock
It's time to get caught up in the classic "bucho".
Machine had almost no oil, inside the carter remained more than 2 cm of mud and crust dried because never having been made preventive maintenance of it.
I checked that differential system already had a lock.
Performed internal and external cleaning and unlocking of the machine. All loop settings and bar height were perfect, no need to do anything.
After mounting all the removed parts was made passing and regulating the tension of the lines and tested the machine gave a perfect point.
Service fulfilled now it's time to return home in Beberibe.
