[gamedev] lost in da hood (gameguru) parts 3-4-5-6

I got busy on gameguru last year but i crashed out around december, mentally, and i really havent done much since, steemit seems to have revived some interest in a little scripting but at a snailpace and i only function well at night ...
I remember trying some of this when i just got on and i got WRECKED by nazicleaners and their team of enlightened content fascists with no own talent because it was "not steemit" content , so let's try again, its time-saving week i want my distroscipts to be ready so i can get back to the fun-stuff

parts 3-4-5-6 ... i had them all separate (lucky you i dont or i could have four timesaving weeks and maybe get it all up and running) Slowly measuring out the roads and landplots to have a reference for where to put the houses and lights after i delete the plane with the google map texture on it. Very optimistic on the polygon count there lol , that was GG several several patches and versions back ...
using objects for roads ... as it turned out later .. BAD IDEA, heavy on the pc (polygon count there) and since its custom physics, not nvidia hardware that eats a LOT of that overheating amd there,

then again, instead of an arena i start out building the whole neighbourhood ofcourse, thats just me i guess :), from nothing to somewhere, i wonder where it would be if i didnt crash out back in december cos i was on it almost daily, several ideas for minigames and how to include them with the lua and all that, but A-las .. and now first for the money, upvote pls, i commented and bots are evil so i need 50.000 plankton votes cuz i dun sukc the whael dick, (pride they say ... ) if teh waehl likes me, then why do i have to ASK ?

the sidewalks however more or less HAVE to be objects since the terrain editor is like "meshed" for lack of a better word, you cant just cut out a cube or something like that, it all goes up and down relative to the adjacent polygons ... its a way of working, the program is primarily designed to quickly whip out fps games

and then in comes me ... tsk ... well turns out i could paint the terrain with an asphalt like texture while the bitmap was over it, so thats what i did then, i doubt that makes much difference wether it has to render shades of green or shades of black on the same polygons ... took a while though to get all that matched, the cubes at the size of the housing plots and o dear, aligning the sidewalk sections ...


(no, poincgames is clearly not microsoft free but i think thats the only thing windows is useful for : directx, otherwise its a total waste to install on a production-pc) i had to remove all audio because youble claimed copyright crud b/c of some music playing in the background so my nice voice explaination is gone, i hope to get back to stuff like this, especially the rpg on maker after i get the rest here up and running, but first things first and then the rest

WOW ... one person metions i'm in the top 100 most active commenters and the next day i have no comments ... /ponder ... i see conspiracies everywhere lately but it wouldnt be below the competitive psychopath ofcourse ... :D , i still have to see the post that says so and i frankly dont really care what top 100 i'm in since i clearly dont get paid more for that
