Meh, anybody with a brain paying attention to how UA works, can plainly see the methodology is stupid flawed, means nothing and is totally useless anyway. Especially since none of the front ends use it, or show it or do anything with it. Hell even "rep" is mostly only a steemit.inc thing anyway. Nobody else even cares. I wouldn't sweat this. This UA crap failed the first time when it was called klout.com ten years ago. LOL
I wouldn't worry a thing about this. It affects nothing, and only the plankton who have no idea what's going on even care about it all.
Nobody here knows Klout. Or how easy it was to game Klout, despite gazillions VC. Different generation. Your age is showing.

Why this cheap evaluation? Are you not bothered by worthless trending pages? A lot of energy has been put in UA and I think the score is meaning a lot more than the current rep. I am sure some frontends are considering using UA to decide what is hot and trending. The time is coming that other frontends will get more attention than SteemIt and I think the use of UA might be just the needed catalyst to make that happen, it makes a lot of sense to me.

Because ive been coding on the internet since 80s when it was aol and BBSes, and steemit.com which is NOT steem is nothing more than a neglected "reference prototype" that is not going to be around in its current form much longer, and because the metric is already making ridiculous results like everything of its kind ever tried, and thats called wisdom and experience. Its flawed, and irrelevant. People with REAL influence dont give a shit about scores, and its a way to pander to the unwashed mashes with pipe dreams. Apply some reason and logic and look at its already dismally stupid results as well as those of every metric like it ever before, and you'll figure it out pretty quickly. No one in the echelons here takes it seriously at all.
And yes, none of the sites use it anyway. It moves voting rings to follow rings, continues circle jerks, buying rep is already done, and Ive already seen reference to coming ua bid bots. Nice way to keep uninfluential people dreaming and spending.

No the trending page doesnt bother me, because I know what paid promotion is. The home shopping network and tv commercials dont bother me either.
Thanks for elaborating. I am also coding since 80's running my own BBS etc. so that argument won't do :-)
But I hear what you say and you are right, there is no metric algorithm that could avoid all these pitfalls.
So why bother indeed? "People with REAL influence...". Yes, point made, 100% right, thanks for clarification.
