Age Of Abundance: It Is Time To Get Excited!!!

I made this comment to @mcfarhat earlier today.

We are really seeing things hopping on Steem and elsewhere in the cryptocurrency world. I hope people can see some of the radical transformations that crypto-economics is going to provide. The fact that anyone can create a currency and build value around it is huge. This is going to allow the average person be involved to a much greater degree.

On Steem, we see the combination of generation income and creating wealth. This is something that we will see across the board in a few years. Most of the blockchains out there will offer this capability. People are going to realize that attention, data, and activity has value. The ones who invest in the likes of Facebook and Google understand this.

Presently, we are under the "scarcity" model. With a world of fiat, the inequality of distribution is only growing. The system is "rigged" to some degree against the average person. Even in the developed countries, people are only falling further behind

One of the things at the core of this is the monetary system. Through the use of inflation, purchasing power is eradicated over time. They say the USD lost more than 90% of its purchasing power over the last 100 years. Essentially, we see a reduction in value.

In crypto-economics, inflation carries something different. It is possible for the value of the token to increase even as more are issued. The reason for this is because a token denotes a stake in a network (ecosystem/cooperative) that can appreciate in value. Since the token (inflation) is meant to provide incentive, the thought is the behavior rewarded adds value to the ecosystem.

The Age of Abundance is a topic I covered a number of times. This is a multi-dimensional paradigm shift that will completely alter the path of humanity. As the other half of the world gets online, they are going to add even more value to our digital and physical worlds.

On Steem, we are seeing so much taking place that is going to really enhance the lives of those who choose to participate. As I mentioned in a post this morning, @steemhunt is putting together a program that basically will pay 20% interest on any SP delegated to them. That is an amazing return.

Even the BEOS initiative with their raindrop is an example of this. Here we see Bitshares (BTS) holders who have the opportunity to receive BEOS tokens simply for staking them to the BEOS network. Those without BTS can buy some and stake it, receiving the tokens essentially for free. How is that for abundance?

I read an article the other day about how this is literally 1994 and the Internet. That is where this author theorized we are at in comparison.

The one thing I would disagree with is the time it takes to get the 4.2B people using cryptocurrency. My feeling is that it is going to happen a lot quicker. To start, we already have, according to this, 4B people online. In 1994, there were very few people online. So the adoption time should be quicker.

Consider how much of our lives is consumed with fear because of the scarcity I mentioned. By entering into an abundance phase, the fear is diminishing. What was reserved for only the few will be available to everyone soon. I hope that those reading these words are beginning to understand.

By the way, do not believe for a second that it is going to take being an Orca to reach this point. Accounts even with a couple hundred STEEM are going really feel the effects. On its own, I feel that will have great value someday. However, couple it with the fact that many other tokens can be earned on here, and it is easy to see how accounts total holdings can grow.

And this is only one blockchain. In a decade, there will be hundreds of thousands of them. There will be more than a handful that provide opportunities to the average person.

We all know money is not the answer to everything. Nevertheless, it is a weapon that is used against us that needs to be broken. Bitcoin really opened up the floodgates by offering an alternative. Now, a decade later, we are just entering the phase where it gets exciting.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are going to see a massive explosion in this realm. Decentralization will take over most everything. The reason I say this is because the trust in the centralized entities is rapidly diminishing. No longer is it just the banks that most feel are the spawns of Satan. Trust in government, big-tech, mega-corporations, and even in the capitalistic system are falling.

Decentralized crypto-economic system replace this trust by offering something that requires none. A trustless system is beyond the realm of most people but it is coming. We are seeing the first wave of it simply because centralized trust is too costly. Thus, the hybrid is being offered up by these institutions.

Over time, we will shed them completely. As the decentralized technology advances, unless the established institutions change their ways, this alternative will be chosen. It is really that simple.

It is starting to get very exciting.
